Assessments
We provide comprehensive alcohol and drug assessments for individuals involved in the justice system, referred by courts, defence counsel, or Legal Aid-funded services. These assessments are used to inform sentencing outcomes by highlighting the role of substance use in offending behaviour and presenting practical rehabilitation pathways.
Reports are tailored for use by the judiciary and are accepted in courts throughout New Zealand.
Report Writing & Assessment Process
Our reports are known for their clarity, depth, and relevance to sentencing considerations. Each report includes:
- A comprehensive history of substance use
- Mental health and psychosocial factors
- Risk assessment and treatment options
- A forward-looking rehabilitation and support plan
Assessments can be conducted in person or via video, depending on the client’s location and legal requirements.
